How to Contribute

Donating Money

The bank account below has been set up to fund local development projects in Ampara. It is called "Kataerahanda" - which means Desert Voice. Activities have included building wells and toilet facilities, and 3 pre-schools.

Donations can be made to this bank account by lodgement or by setting up a direct debit from your own account, and cash and cheque (payable to "Desert Voice"). Unfortunately, donations can no longer be handed in to the Lanka Dhama Fair Trade Shop. See the Contact page for more information.

Our Message of Thanks

All three of us (Ari, Noel and Vincent) can barely find words of thanks for all those who have supported us in so many ways, and continue to do so.

Kind people have given their time and energy to collect on the streets and in shops, to publicise our efforts, to support us technically, strategically, and above all morally. Many have donated €2-5 where they could barely afford to, others have made contributions in different ways and at a different scale. Ultimately it is you, the contributors that enable us to do what we are doing for the Sri Lankan’s caught up in this tragedy. For this we extend our sincerest thanks for your life-giving support on behalf of the Sri Lankan people, and from ourselves - for reminding us of the meaning of community.

Sincerely,

Ariyadasa, Noel, & Vincent
